Abstract
La limitada participación ciudadana en la conservación de sitios arqueológicos pone en riesgo la preservación del patrimonio cultural, ya que el escaso involucramiento de las comunidades locales en su gestión afecta tanto su integridad como su potencial para el desarrollo sostenible del turismo. Este estudio se propone analizar la percepción y experiencia de actores clave en relación con la participación ciudadana para la conservación del sitio arqueológico "El Entival" en Cata, distrito de Coayllo, Cañete-2023. La investigación revela una clara conciencia entre los entrevistados sobre la importancia crucial de la participación activa de la población en la preservación del patrimonio Arqueológico en esta localidad. A pesar de reconocer la relevancia de la comunidad, surge la preocupación por la escasa iniciativa individual en el cuidado de los recursos. No obstante, destacan la colaboración activa durante jornadas específicas de limpieza, especialmente impulsadas por colectivos culturales. Los entrevistados subrayan la necesidad de un trabajo conjunto entre la población, autoridades locales y entidades como el Ministerio de Cultura. Este hallazgo resalta la importancia de fortalecer la participación ciudadana para preservar el patrimonio arqueológico en la comunidad de Cata, Coayllo. Se concluye que, la investigación destaca la conciencia colectiva sobre la relevancia de la participación ciudadana en la conservación del sitio arqueológico en Cata, Coayllo. Aunque la iniciativa individual es limitada, la disposición de la comunidad para participar en eventos específicos sugiere un potencial significativo. Se enfatiza la necesidad de un esfuerzo conjunto, involucrando a la población, autoridades locales y entidades como el Ministerio de Cultura. La discontinuidad en las acciones subraya la importancia de establecer estrategias sostenibles para la preservación a largo plazo del patrimonio cultural en la comunidad..
The limited citizen participation in the conservation of archaeological sites jeopardizes the preservation of cultural heritage, as the lack of involvement of local communities in their management affects both their integrity and their potential for sustainable tourism development. This study aims to analyze the perception and experience of key actors in relation to citizen participation for the conservation of the archaeological site "El Entival" in Cata, Coayllo district, Cañete-2023. The research reveals a clear awareness among those interviewed about the crucial importance of the active participation of the population in the preservation of the archaeological heritage in this locality. Despite recognizing the relevance of the community, concern arises over the lack of individual initiative in caring for resources. However, they highlight the active collaboration during specific cleaning days, especially promoted by cultural groups. Those interviewed emphasize the need for joint work between the population, local authorities and entities such as the Ministry of Culture. This finding highlights the importance of strengthening citizen participation to preserve the archaeological heritage in the community of Cata, Coayllo. It is concluded that the research highlights the collective awareness about the relevance of citizen participation in the conservation of the archaeological site in Cata, Coayllo. Although individual initiative is limited, the community's willingness to participate in specific events suggests significant potential. The need for a joint effort is emphasized, involving the population, local authorities and entities such as the Ministry of Culture. The lack of continuity in actions highlights the importance of establishing sustainable strategies for the long-term preservation of cultural heritage in the community.
