Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo mejorar el control de asistencia académica de los estudiantes mediante la implementación de un sistema web, dado que este proceso se realizaba de manera manual. Para ello, se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo y se empleó la metodología ágil SCRUM para la implementación del sistema web, en base a sus buenas prácticas de desarrollo de software de acuerdo al contexto de la situación problemática. Se utilizó un muestreo probabilístico en base a la población de 150 registro individuales de asistencia, abarcando una muestra de 75 registro individuales de asistencia. Los resultados evidenciaron que el tiempo promedio de la asistencia manual era de aproximadamente 14 segundos, mientras que el sistema web se redujo a alrededor de 2 segundos; esto demostró una diferencia significativa entre el tiempo medio de los registros manuales y los registros computarizados. Finalmente se concluyó que la implementación del sistema web mejoró el control de asistencia académica en la Escuela de Posgrado de una Universidad Pública de la provincia de Cañete.
The objective of this research was to improve the monitoring of student attendance through the implementation of a web-based system, given that this process was previously carried out manually. To this end, a quantitative approach was adopted and the agile SCRUM methodology was used to implement the web-based system, based on its best practices in software development in accordance with the context of the problem situation. A probabilistic sampling was used based on a population of 150 attendance records, covering a sample of 75 attendance records. The results showed that the average time for manual attendance was approximately 14 seconds, while the web-based system reduced this to around 2 seconds, demonstrating a significant difference between the average time for manual and computerized records. Finally, it was concluded that the implementation of the web-based system improved academic attendance control at the Graduate School of a public university in the province of Cañete.
