Abstract
En el presente trabajo de investigación se describe el modo de empleo de los plaguicidas utilizados para el control de Spodoptera frugiperda Smith en el cultivo de maíz Zea mays L. en el distrito de Quilmaná, provincia de Cañete y departamento Lima, en el año 2022. El estudio presenta un diseño mixto con enfoque experimental, las variables “Uso de insecticidas para el control de gusano cogollero (S. frugiperda) en Z. mays”, y “otras estrategias y métodos de control”. Los resultados fueron validados por un especialista en estadística de la UNDC. Se realizó el análisis de varianza (ANOVA), para determinar la dosis adecuada de Diatrex 80 PS, para el control de S. frugiperda en los primeros 15 días del cultivo de maíz. Para el primer objetivo, los resultados mostraron que el 56,0% de los encuetados utilizaron el insecticida Clorpiriphos, para el control de S. frugiperda; mientras que un 84,0% de los Agricultores realizaron la aplicación de insecticidas, en el día y cumpliendo con las dosis recomendadas, el 60,0% y recibieron una asesoría (técnico
agropecuario). Este estudio determinó que los insecticidas se utilizan con criterio para controlar la plaga S. frugiperda. Para el segundo objetivo, los resultados mostraron que el 78,0% (39 Agricultores) no realiza la aplicación de otro método o táctica para el control de S. frugiperda. Para el tercer objetivo se obtuvo que el tratamiento T1 (600 gr/cilindro en 200 Litros de agua), se obtuvo un 73.33% de mortandad de larvas, siendo superado por el T2 (500 gr/cilindro de 200 Lit de agua) donde se obtuvo el 74.167% de mortandad de larvas, siendo el menos eficiente el T5 (testigo), que obtuvo un 42.5% de mortandad de larvas. para el control de S. frugiperda en los primeros 15 días de brotamiento de la planta del maíz Z. mays
This research paper describes how pesticides were used to control Spodoptera frugiperda Smith in Zea mays L. corn crops in the Quilmaná district, Cañete province, and Lima department, in 2022. The study used a mixed design with an experimental approach, with the variables "Use of insecticides to control fall armyworm (S. frugiperda) in Z. mays" and "other control strategies and methods." The results were validated by a UNDC statistics specialist. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to determine the appropriate dose of Diatrex 80 PS to control S. frugiperda during the first 15 days of corn cultivation. For the first objective, the results showed that 56.0% of respondents used the insecticide Clorpiriphos to control S. frugiperda; While 84.0% of farmers applied insecticides on the day and in compliance with the recommended doses, 60.0% received advice (from an agricultural technician). This study determined that insecticides are used judiciously to control the S. frugiperda pest.
