In vivo control of phaeoacremonium parasiticum with native antagonists bacillus, trichoderma and actinomycetes and their growth promoting effect in grapevine

dc.description.abstract | Phaeoacremonium parasiticum es una especie frecuentemente asociada a la “enfermedad de Petri” en plantas jóvenes de vid en el Perú. Una de las principales limitantes es el uso de fungicidas y las limitadas moléculas 6 cfu ml -1 para su control. En este panorama, el control biológico es una alternativa importante a integrar en el manejo de enfermedades de la vid. Objetivo: El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar la eficacia in vivo de antagonistas nativos a P. parasiticum y su efecto promotor de crecimiento en vid. Metodología: El material vegetal procedente de plantas madre (R-110) pasó por termoterapia (52.5°C durante 30 minutos). Posteriormente, se inoculó por inmersión parcial los antagonistas (bacterias y hongos) a concentración 1x10 (Unidades formadoras de colonias) durante 3 h; 30 días después, se inoculó P. parasiticum, midiendo longitud del brote antes de la inoculación (LBAI). 70 días después de la inoculación (DDI) se midió: longitud del brote (LB), longitud de la estría necrótica (LEN), peso seco de raíces (PSR) y peso fresco de raíces (PFR). Resultados: El aislado Tr-5 (Trichoderma spp.) incrementa 68% la LBAI. Bacillus spp. (Bac-1, Bac-2), Trichoderma spp. (Tr-5) y T. harzianum (T-22) aumentan >40% LB 70 DDI. Tr-6 (Trichoderma spp.), T-22 y Act-2 (Actinomiceto) reducen >50% LEN. Bacillus spp. (Bac-2: Bac-3) incrementan significativamente el PFR (59.29%: 49.39%) y PSR (60.41%: 55.08%). Implicaciones: El control biológico con antagonistas nativos reduce el desarrollo de la enfermedad de Petri y promueve el crecimiento de la vid. Conclusiones: Los antagonistas nativos muestran efecto promotor de crecimiento y control de LEN ocasionada por P. parasiticum en fase de vivero. | |
dc.description.abstract | Phaeoacremonium parasiticum is a species frequently associated with "Petri disease" in young vine plants in Peru. One of the main limitations is the use of fungicides and the limited 6 cfu ml -1 molecules for its control. In this scenario, biological control is an important alternative to integrate in the management of grapevine diseases. Objective: The objective of the research was to evaluate the in vivo efficacy of native antagonists to P. parasiticum and their growth-promoting effect on grapevines. Methodology: Plant material from mother plants (R-110) went through thermotherapy (52.5°C for 30 minutes). Subsequently, the antagonists (bacteria and fungi) were inoculated by partial immersion at a 1x10 concentration (colony-forming units) for 3 h; 30 days later, P. parasiticum was inoculated, measuring shoot length before inoculation (LBAI). 70 days after inoculation (DDI) the following were measured: shoot length (LB), necrotic streak length (LEN), root dry weight (PSR) and root fresh weight (PFR). Results: The isolate Tr-5 (Trichoderma spp.) increases LBAI by 68%. Bacillus spp. (Bac-1, Bac-2), Trichoderma spp. (Tr-5) and T. harzianum (T-22) increase >40% LB 70 DDI. Tr-6 (Trichoderma spp.), T-22 and Act-2 (Actinomycete) reduce >50% LEN. Bacillus spp. (Bac-2: Bac-3) significantly increase PFR (59.29%: 49.39%) and PSR (60.41%: 55.08%). Implications: Biological control with native antagonists reduces the development of Petri disease and promotes vine growth. Conclusions: The native antagonists show a growth promoting effect and control of LEN caused by P. parasiticum in the nursery phase. | |
